Bachelor of Science (BS) in Botany

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Botany is a four-year undergraduate program that provides comprehensive knowledge of plant sciences, focusing on the structure, growth, reproduction, physiology, ecology, and classification of plants. The program is designed to develop students’ understanding of the vital role plants play in ecosystems, agriculture, environment, and biotechnology.

BS Botany combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory and fieldwork, allowing students to explore plant diversity, conservation, and the applications of botany in sustainable development. The curriculum also includes applied aspects such as plant pathology, economic botany, and plant biotechnology.

Graduates of the program are well-equipped for careers in education, agriculture, environmental management, botanical research, forestry, and plant-based industries. The degree also serves as a strong foundation for higher studies such as M.Sc., M.Phil., or PhD in Botany and related fields.
